Collective Worship Calendar 2023-2024

Please view our diary of our plans for Worship in 2023-2024. We hope you will be able to join us for many of these services and please remember that our celebration assemblies every Friday are always open to all.

We also welcome you to join in and share our school prayer with your loved ones at home. A copy our of school prayer may be found below.

Our Worship Leaders

Our Worship Leaders are central to the life of Christian Worship in our school.

Each class has worship leaders who help their teacher lead and prepare for our weekly class worship assemblies. In addition, we have a large team of enthusiastic Year 6 worship leaders who regularly lead our whole school worship in a variety of roles:

Leading and planning our after-school ‘Songs of Praise’ Services at St. Mary’s Church, Candlemas and Saints Days Services
Having key roles in our whole-school Communion service
Leading the liturgy and prayers in our whole-school worship assemblies
Writing prayers for our governors’ meetings
Caring for and developing our prayer area
Championing our relationship with our sponsored child, Lakono
Sharing feedback between staff, governors and other students

The Worship Leader Team are very committed, regularly giving up their own time to support and grow the worship and spiritual life of our school and community.

To develop their personal spirituality and leadership skills, our worship leaders are all encouraged to work towards achieving our valued ‘Worship Leader Award’ at the end of Year 6.

Our range of Worships are invitational and inclusive and we enjoy: teacher led worships, Open the Book, worshiping inside and outside, services in St Mary's Church, singing worship, class worship and celebration worships.

Father, We have come together,
To sing to you
To pray to you
And to hear you speaking to us
Help us to remember your presence with us
For Jesus Christ’s sake
Amen

The Lords Prayer

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.

Spirited Arts Competition Entries

Whole School Communion Service

Our Year 6 children worked with Reverend Richard and Reverend Sam to lead the whole school in our Communion Service. They worked together to welcome the congregation, share readings from the Bible , prepare and present Communion.
